Does having a referral based business make you feel like you don’t have control when it comes to managing your leads? Have you been feeling like you need to do everything and be on every platform to advertise your business? Or maybe you feel like you need to create a better marketing strategy in order to get that steady stream of clients you need.
Relationship marketing is a great way for service based businesses to build strong connections, come from a place of service and gain consistent client leads from referrals.
This week our Accountability Coach, Elizabeth Cook, joins me to talk about relationship marketing and how you can use this strategy to get new client leads while also nurturing your current client relationships.

Thanks so much for this great episode, Natalie and Elizabeth! I don’t listen to podcasts often, but your insights here are really valuable. I didn’t even realize that what I’ve been doing is relationship marketing…and I’ve also underestimated its power. This discussion really helped me feel great about my approach and motivated to deepen this approach!
Natalie, I want to thank you for this episode, and for being such a reliable source of both information and inspiration since the day I decided to start my coaching and consulting business. This episode on relationship marketing was so affirming! It gave a name to my instinct to “do right” by people, to provide value in each conversation, and to schedule time on my calendar to keep connections with others. I have lists (that really need to be better organized -working on that!) of names on my desk, so I don’t have to wrack my brain to remember who’s next for a Zoom call, or just a quick text message. I’m passionate about coaching women who need support connecting ALL THE THINGS in their work and lives into a happy whole, and it brings me joy to just reach out and let them know I’m cheering them on. Thanks, Natalie, for always cheering on women, even those you’ve never met!
Wow! This episode spoke to me and was bursting at the seams with SO much good information! Thank you for reinforcing the notion that old-fashioned networking and relationships still matter and it’s okay to not be posting multiple times a day on every social media platform. I feel like this episode gave me permission to keep doing what I’m doing, (because it works!) and to not stress about what I’m not doing! I love my “alone time” with your podcasts and all that I learn. Thank you Natalie and Elizabeth for such a rich podcast episode!
Thank you so much for a Great Podcast!
I learned the value of Relationship Marketing when I worked in Corporate Banking several years ago. As a copywriter, I create content to build relationships for my clients.
My favorite takeaway from this podcast was about marketing to DIY and DFY at the same time. It was truly an “Eureka” moment!
